For this reason, you can access it in several ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1<\/strong>. By pressing <strong>gear<\/strong> button at the top right of chart window:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-798\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. From <em>Format<\/em> menu &gt; <em>Chart Window Settings<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4<\/strong>. By double-clicking on the window or on a specific contained object<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5<\/strong>. Right click on the <em>window\/object\/section<\/em> &gt; <em>Properties<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6<\/strong>. This division makes searching and accessing properties very easy and fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-treeview1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-797\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Available sections are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Charts<\/strong>: section containing all charts of the window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Indicators<\/strong>: section containing all indicators of the window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advanced Columns<\/strong>: section containing all advanced columns of the window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trading<\/strong>: section containing all chart trading properties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Window<\/strong>: Section containing all general, status-line, X-Y axes and inner-windows properties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Objects such as <strong><em>drawing tools<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>trading systems<\/em><\/strong> are directly linked to the chart\/indicator they belong to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"291\" height=\"129\" src=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-treeview2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-796\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Properties<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The properties of an object are shown in the left grid which in turn is divided into different Tabs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"697\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-properties1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-795\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-properties1.png 697w, https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-properties1-640x439.png 640w, https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-properties1-400x274.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calculation or general properties are located on <strong><em>Properties<\/em><\/strong> Tab, style and formatting properties on <strong><em>Style<\/em><\/strong> Tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charts and indicators have a third Tab (<strong><em>Y-Axis<\/em><\/strong>) containing Y-axis (price\/value scale) properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By modifying the value of a property, property will be marked as <em>Changed<\/em> and an asterisk will be displayed to its left:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"298\" height=\"41\" src=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/chart-window-settings-properties2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-794\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a detailed description is available for the property, a <strong>help<\/strong> icon will be displayed to its right. Hovering over the icon, a tooltip containing the property description will be shown. After changing, when you add a new object of the same type to the chart, property will initially be set using new default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote is-style-default\"><blockquote><p>For some properties you CANNOT change the factory value. Often these are properties whose value changes for each new object<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To change a property default, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1<\/strong>. Select the object from tree-view on the right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Change property value as you need<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Select the object from tree-view on the right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Press:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Restore<\/strong> button to restore current defaults (<em>current defaults may be different from factory defaults!<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or <strong>Restore using Factory Values<\/strong> button to restore factory defaults<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#cce9f5\"><em>Restore<\/em> or <em>Restore using Factory Values buttons<\/em> restore defaults to all object properties and not just to a particular property!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>To restore all current defaults to factory defaults:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1<\/strong>. Select the object from tree-view on the right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Press <strong>Restore using Factory Values<\/strong> button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Press <strong>Save Defaults<\/strong> button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Object Template<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For each object such as a Chart, Indicator, Drawing tool, Advanced Column, Trading System etc., you can quickly set all style and calculation properties using a previously saved template. There are actually better methods for deleting an object. This is another method you can use if the need arises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To delete an object:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1<\/strong>. Select the object from tree-view on the right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Press <strong>Delete Object<\/strong> button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"530\" height=\"111\" delete selected object using this window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Window Properties<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Window<\/strong> section of tree-view you can find the chart window general properties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Background, text, line, etc. colors used in the window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Status Line settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General properties of X and Y axes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other general properties common to the entire window<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Properties<\/strong> Tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tab Name<\/strong>: Specifies the text to display in the Chart Tab (refer to this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/manage-your-charts\/#3-toc-title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentation<\/a><\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Style<\/strong> Tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Colors<\/strong>: Select <strong><em>Customize Colors<\/em><\/strong> to change background, text, line, splitter, etc. colors according to your needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Splitter<\/strong>: Defines splitter style (inner-windows resizing line).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Background<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Main Symbol<\/strong>: Displays and formats the main symbol on window background.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>X-Axis<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bar Countdown<\/strong>: Displays and formats the time \/ tick \/ volume (depending on chart resolution) remaining to the end of current bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Drawings<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Show Drawings<\/strong>: Uncheck this property to hide all drawing tools in the window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Status Line<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This section contains all Status-Line formatting properties (refer to this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/status-line\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentation<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Column<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Style<\/strong> class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>X-Axis<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This section contains all the formatting and styling properties of a column&#8217;s X-axis (refer to (expressed in number of bars) added to the right of chart after last bar (refer to this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/chart-time-scale-x-axis\/#2-toc-title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentation<\/a><\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Further Right Margin<\/strong>: In addition to the Right Margin, you can define an additional margin to the right of chart. This margin, unlike Right Margin, is NOT represented by any time interval. <strong><em>Further-Right-Margin<\/em> management is completely automatic and transparent to the user<\/strong> (if <strong><em>DYNAMIC<\/em><\/strong> type). If, on the other hand, it is of the <em>FIXED<\/em> type, further-right-margin is equal to a fixed number of bars defined in the relative property.
