VZO is calculated as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Positive Volume (PV)<\/strong><\/strong>
    If price change is positive:
    PV = Volume<\/code>
    Else:
    PV = 0<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Negative Volume (NV)<\/strong><\/strong>
    If price change is negative:
    NV = Volume<\/code>
    Else:
    NV = 0<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Total Volume (TV)<\/strong><\/strong>
    TV = PV + NV<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Adjusted Volume (AV)<\/strong><\/strong>
    AV = PV - NV<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Exponential moving averages (EMA)<\/strong> over N<\/em> periods:
    EMA_AV = EMA(AV, N)<\/code>
