You can access the Preferences from <em>Overcharts main window<\/em> &gt; <strong><em>Tools<\/em><\/strong> menu &gt; <em>Preferences<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below, the available properties divided by sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Platform<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Environment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Theme<\/strong>: specifies the platform main layout (colors, objects, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Data Refresh Rate (ms)<\/strong>: specifies the frequency (in milliseconds) for real-time data processing\/updating. The lower the value in milliseconds, the higher the frequency of updates and graphical refresh. The value should be chosen based on your PC&#8217;s performance! <strong><em>We recommend NOT going below 50 ms<\/em><\/strong>.<br>If you notice slowdowns or delays in the updating of charts, it is likely that your PC is not powerful enough to handle the required processing (both in terms of calculations and graphical refresh). In such cases, the appropriate actions are:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce the number of charts, DOMs, indicators, and workspaces being used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase the milliseconds for the Data Refresh Rate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce the number of applications running on the same PC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instrument<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Data Series<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bar Timestamp<\/strong>: specifies whether bar timestamp (in charts, data series, etc.), represents the beginning or the end of bar. For example, in a 5-minute bar (from 10:00:00 to 10:04:59), 10:00:00 represents the bar&#8217;s start-time, and 10:05:00 the bar&#8217;s end-time. This value affects all charts and data series.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Trading<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Confirmations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using the properties in this section you can enable \/ disable confirmation requests when placing \/ modifying \/ canceling an order or when closing or reversing a position. If enabled, Overcharts will display a message and wait for your manual confirmation before proceeding with the requested operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sound Notifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using the properties in this section you can enable \/ disable the sounds played following events such as: filling, cancellation, modification (failed) or placing (failed) of an order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notifications via Telegram<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(only available in <strong>REGULAR<\/strong> Workspaces)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the properties in this section to enable or disable Telegram notifications triggered by specific events, such as the execution of an order. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/preferences\/#4-toc-title\">Make sure you have enabled and configured Telegram notifications<\/a><\/strong>! Refer to the Help Center <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/notifications-via-telegram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentation<\/a><\/strong> for detailed instructions on how to create a bot on Telegram and configure the Bot Token and your Chat ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Error \/ Warning Messages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using the properties in this section you can enable \/ disable the error \/ warning messages shown following the occurrence of certain events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Colors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this section, default colors of order types, positions etc. are defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chart<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Window<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tab Name<\/strong>: specifies the text (default formatting) to be displayed in the chart Tab within the Workspace. You can format the Tab name using available tags and\/or inserting any type of text. If necessary, you can also change the Tab name directly on chart (the value specified here is only a default).<br>Available Tags:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>@INSTRUMENT_NAME: instrument name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>@INSTRUMENT_SYMBOL: instrument symbol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>@RESOLUTION: current chart resolution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example: <br>Specifying the format: @INSTRUMENT_SYMBOL [@RESOLUTION]<br>Tab name for ESZ23 instrument on a 30-minute chart will be: ESZ23 [30 Minuti]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Backfill on reconnection<\/strong>: specifies whether to automatically backfill chart data following a temporary data-feed disconnection + reconnection. Backfilling data can take a long time. If trading is enabled on chart, it may be a problem to wait for the backfill to finish to continue trading. For this reason, it is very often preferable not to update charts rather than not being able to trade.<br>Three possible options:<br>1. <strong>Never<\/strong>: backfill is NOT automatically performed. A warning message is displayed on chart status line. To perform the backfill, use chart manual refresh (<em>chart window<\/em> &gt; <em>Maintenance<\/em> menu &gt; <em>Refresh<\/em>).<br>2. <strong>Only if Trading is NOT enabled on Workspace<\/strong>: backfill is automatically performed only if trading is NOT enabled on Workspace.<br>3. <strong>Only if Trading is NOT enabled on Chart<\/strong>: backfill is automatically performed only if trading is NOT enabled on chart.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mouse Wheel Sensitivity (on chart)<\/strong>: defines the mouse wheel sensitivity on chart. The higher the sensitivity, the faster the zoom will be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alert<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>General (defaults)<\/strong> and <strong>Actions (defaults)<\/strong> sections some default values are specified to be used when adding Alerts to the chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Telegram<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Telegram<\/strong> section, you can configure the necessary parameters to send notification messages directly via Telegram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three properties available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enable Telegram Notifications<\/strong> \u2013 Turn on or off the ability to send notifications via Telegram.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bot Token<\/strong> \u2013 The token provided by BotFather when you create your Telegram bot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chat ID<\/strong> \u2013 The ID of the chat (user or group) to which notifications will be sent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After configuring these parameters, you can use the <strong>&#8220;Send Test Message&#8221;<\/strong> button to verify that everything is set up correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more details on how to obtain the <strong>Bot Token<\/strong> and <strong>Chat ID<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overcharts.com\/en\/helpcenter\/docs\/notifications-via-telegram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refer to the step-by-step guide in the Help Center<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Option Chain<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Data Refresh Rate<\/strong>: Defines the data update frequency in the Option Chain. Setting a higher value reduces the number of real-time updates, helping to minimize the impact on PC performance.<br>Therefore, if you notice slowdowns in the real-time data flow or in the overall performance of your PC, it is recommended to <strong>increase the refresh interval<\/strong>, thereby reducing the update frequency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Privacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Trading<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Show Account Name \/ Code<\/strong>: if checked, trading account name or code is displayed in clear text on platform.
