In this type of instrument, volume is not valued or is unreliable.<br>For a correct volume analysis on forex instruments, you need to use forex futures and then use data-feeds such as, for example, CQG\/StoneX, Rithmic, dxFeed, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">Oanda <strong>does not provide 1-tick historical data<\/strong><\/strong>. This is another reason why you cannot use indicators like Volume Profile, Volume Ladder (footprint) etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to connect Overcharts to Oanda<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To connect Overcharts to Oanda, please follow these steps carefully:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. <strong>Oanda<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>Account <\/strong>&#8211; If you do not already have an Oanda demo or real account, please create a new one from Oanda official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Access your Oanda account from the Oanda website<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Access connection configuration window by <em>right-clicking<\/em> &gt; <em>Edit<\/em>. If you already have a Oanda connection configured, create a new one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Token<\/strong>: enter (pasting) the API key (token) you got in step 4 being very careful to copy it correctly without adding spaces or other characters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">Server<\/strong><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">: select <\/span><em style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">DEMO if your Oanda account is a DEMO account<\/em><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">, or select <\/span><em style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">LIVE if your Oanda account is a REAL account<\/em><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">Fill in any other required properties according to your preferences<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6.<\/strong> Once configuration is complete, start the connection by pressing <strong>CONNECT<\/strong> button or by double-clicking on the connection. <em>You are connected successfully if dots near the connection are all green.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If, on the other hand, there is at least one red dot, it means that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>connection configuration parameters are incorrect<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or data-feed is temporarily unavailable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or data-feed demo (NOT Overcharts!) has expired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hover over &#8220;<strong>i<\/strong>&#8221; icon (<em>next to the red dot<\/em>) to read a more detailed error message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oanda is one of the most famous CFD and Forex brokers in the world.
