# Create a new Overcharts account

> If you have already installed Overcharts platform and have Overcharts credentials, please start it and simply log in using your Account Name and Password.

[**Download and Install Overcharts**](https://www.overcharts.com/en/helpcenter/docs/download-install-overcharts/) and start it by double-clicking the Overcharts icon on your desktop.

The first time you open Overcharts, you will need to create a new Overcharts account (*it is free!*):

1. Press **CREATE a new ACCOUNT** button on the login window, choose a Username and Password and enter your email address

2. We will send you a confirmation email to the email address used to register. To complete registration you need to verify your email address within 5 days. After 5 days you will no longer be able to access Overcharts until you verify your email.

To verify your email address:

1. From the Overcharts main window, open your account settings window by clicking on **ACCOUNT** > **Settings**.
2. Select **Account** section and press **Verify new Email address** button.
3. **Enter the verification** code we sent you with our welcome email.
